About — Space Career Hub

Our Story

Built by someonewho gets it

SpaceCareerHub started with a simple idea: space careers shouldn't feel out of reach for anyone — including the person who built this site.

We built this site for anyone who's ever looked up at the sky and thought "I want to be part of that." The space industry is growing fast, and there are way more jobs in it than most people realize — non-engineering jobs included. We break it all down so you can figure out where you fit in.

Most space career sites are built for people who already work in the industry — full of jargon, written by insiders, for insiders. SpaceCareerHub is different, because it was built by someone who's still figuring it out herself.

"I have family members who work in the space industry, and I kept hearing about all these jobs that have nothing to do with engineering. I wanted to build something that actually explained that to people my age."

SpaceCareerHub is designed, built, and maintained by Emma Clark, a high school student with a genuine interest in space and a front-row seat to the industry through family members who work in it. She's not a recruiter, not an aerospace executive, and not pretending to be. She's someone close to the exact audience this site is for — which is exactly why it works.

Emma Clark
Founder, Designer & Builder of SpaceCareerHub

Emma is a high school student with a genuine curiosity about the space industry — sparked early by family members who work in it. Outside of building this site, she's an active student leader: selected for a TED-style "Rock Talk" leadership speech, part of her school's Future Ambassador Program, and a leadership member of her school's Youth Legal Education Club. She also plays competitive club soccer and volunteers locally through Keep Indianapolis Beautiful.

Why a student-built site
actually makes sense

SpaceCareerHub exists because someone close to the target audience — a student just starting to explore career options — wanted a resource that didn't talk down to people or assume everyone already knows the industry. If you're Jordan, this site was built with you specifically in mind, by someone who isn't that far removed from asking the same questions.
